Rufus Caine is the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Tenor Legal, principally overseeing the firm’s business development and corporate strategy. He brings substantial experience partnering with executive stakeholders on new law solutions that enhance profitability, improve performance, and deliver outsized value for the legal function.

Prior to Tenor, Rufus was a Senior Vice President at Burford Capital, the world’s largest specialty finance firm focused on law. Rufus served on the firm’s corporate client origination team and co-chaired the Diversity Working Group.

Prior to joining Burford, he served in various roles at a leading new model talent provider in law, focusing his efforts on consultative sales and relationship management. Rufus began his career in law as a litigation associate at Willkie Farr and Gallagher LLP.

He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and Boston College.

 

Din Duggan is Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Tenor Legal, primarily overseeing attorney talent, operations, and strategy. His expertise lies in innovative solutions for complex legal organizations.

Prior to Tenor, Din was Director, Enterprise Legal Services at Factor, the leading legal managed services provider. He harnessed comprehensive legal talent and process capabilities to deliver novel solutions at scale to in-house legal departments. He also served as senior leadership advisor to Factor’s Black & African Descent Employee Resource Group.

Previously, as Managing Director at Engage Attorneys, a division of LegalPartners, Din partnered with high-profile clients and top-tier attorneys, developing talent solutions to optimize legal operations.

Din was also Head of Attorney Recruitment, Development, and Community across major offices of the pioneering new model talent provider in law, managing a portfolio of over 100 attorneys. Prior to that he served as a legal search consultant at a top boutique legal talent firm. He began his career as a Partnership and Real Estate Tax Law Consultant at Ernst & Young.

A graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and The University of Georgia, Din is a recognized advocate for innovation in the legal industry. At Tenor Legal, he skillfully combines this drive for innovation with a strong commitment to diversity.

  

An attorney by trade, Helen has enjoyed problem solving with and for executive stakeholders at prominent companies and law firms throughout her 30+ year career as a standout leader in the legal industry. Driven by a passion for innovation, Helen is drawn to new ideas and fresh approaches to accomplishing greater growth and efficiencies in the business and practice of law.

Helen brings years of experience in legal product development, sales and client management. She most recently established several new market footprints for Factor Law’s legal managed services offerings, as Vice President of Enterprise Legal Solutions and Axiom Law’s Director of Technology Market, legal talent solutions.

Helen’s belief in the power of innovation and inclusive approaches was fueled during her eight years working abroad in Europe for Thomson Reuters, where she managed a broad portfolio of products, stakeholders and clients across the globe. She saw first-hand the exponential impact a diverse collection of thought and cultures can have on business growth and success.

  

Noraan Sadik is the Founder & CEO of Nuri, a multidimensional consultancy for early stage companies and founders. She has spent the majority of her near 20-year career building and advising category-creating businesses across various industries. Her experience as an entrepreneur and a strategic partner to companies across all stages of maturity allows her to bring a uniquely valuable perspective to a broad spectrum of business and leadership challenges.

Prior to Nuri, Noraan co-founded FemHealth Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in groundbreaking women’s health innovators, and was an experienced business development leader and Director at Axiom, the leading new model talent and solutions provider in the legal space. She has also been on the founding team of two start-ups in the creative industry, including Reelio, a first-of-its-kind influencer marketing platform and agency, which was later acquired. She started her career as a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins, a top-tier international law firm.

Noraan earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and her J.D. from Stanford Law School.

Greg McPolin is a Managing Director at Burford Capital with responsibility for Burford’s North American origination and business development efforts. Prior to joining Burford, Mr. McPolin was Managing Director at the Kenyon Group, where he represented legal technology and service businesses in the M&A and fundraising process and launched its New York office.

He served earlier in his career in various leadership positions at Pangea3, through its transition from startup and following its acquisition by Thomson Reuters, including as General Manager of Pangea3 and as Chief Operating Officer of Thomson Reuters’ combined Legal Managed Services business. He served in senior sales roles for Applied Discovery, an early entrant in the e-discovery market, remaining there for six years through its acquisition by LexisNexis. Mr. McPolin began his career practicing in the antitrust practice group at Howrey in Washington, DC. He earned his BS from SUNY Oneonta and his JD from Vermont Law School.

Chris is a skilled investment professional with a diverse background in venture capital, private equity, capital raising, board advisory work, real estate development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). He has raised over $500 million in financing, and ran a venture capital fund for 4 years called THC Ventures, focusing on Post Seed and Series A Rounds. With expertise in real estate and technology, Chris currently has a board advisory businesss called Map n Scale and currently sit on 4 corporate boards. As the Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (AUSTrade), Chris fosters international trade and investment opportunities. Passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion, Chris runs an incubator for LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs as part of StartOut.
